"Lucien! Is it not enough for you to destroy me? Why can't you let me go? You bastard!" Nina is crying. She cries out all her grievances and sorrows.
It's all Lucien's fault. If she doesn't run around to avoid him, maybe her baby will be born healthy!
If he is not so cruel, maybe her father is very healthy now!
It's all his fault! Her life has been a mess since she met him!
After hearing Nina's angry accusations, Lucien is also angry. She's too headstrong!
He pulls her hair and pulls her face in front of him, "Nina! Don't forget that you haven't fulfilled the mistress contract!"
Nina's face is full of tears. She stares at Lucien resentfully. "What about you! Have you kept the contract! You are responsible for my father's death!"
Barry's dead? Lucien is a little surprised, but he doesn't think much.
He stares at Nina. "It's my business whether I comply with the contract or not. What you have to do must be done!"
"What's the matter!" Grandpa Gray comes in on crutches, and the nanny comes to the living room with the baby.
Lucien has great respect for his grandfather. He loosens Nina's hair, "Grandpa." He immediately looks to the baby in the hand of the nanny.
He wakes up and is looking curiously at the adults around him.
When Nina sees the baby, she suddenly thinks of her dead baby. Her heart aches.
Nelson's eyes are big and bright, and he looks smart. Nina looks at this baby. Her heart is full of maternal love.
Grandpa Gray sees Nina looking at this baby all the time and her eyes are glowing with motherly warmth. He has a certain fondness for the little girl whose hair is unkempt and pale and thin.
Those who love his great-grandchildren are good people. This is the logic of Grandpa Gray.
Grandpa Gray says with dignity, "Lucien, what's the matter?"
"Grandpa, she's my girlfriend. She was missing before. I just found her today." Lucien says.
Nina is stunned at what he said. This man is good at lying!
"Girlfriend?" Grandpa Gray takes a serious look at Nina. She is thin but beautiful. She should be a pretty beauty after a break. She is pure and her eyes look kind. She is a good girl.
"I'm not his girlfriend." Nina explains in a hurry. But she can't go on. She can not say that she is not his girlfriend but a mistress.
In the face of such a kind old man, she really can't talk about it.
"Nina, stop being capricious. I did it wrong. Don't be angry. We will have a good life in the future. All right?" Lucien, of course, has to be nice in front of Grandpa. Nina's performance leads him to conclude that Nina is afraid to tell Grandpa Gray the truth.
Lucien's gentle tone makes Nina sick. This man is not only domineering but also hypocritical!
Adults are talking. The baby probably feels a little lonely and begins to hum. Nina's eyes are always on the baby's face.
The nanny says to Lucien pleasantly, "young master, look how cute little master is!"
Little master? It seems that this baby is Lucien's son! This baby is more than a month old. Lucien is dissolute! Nina snorts in her heart.
But this baby is really cute. Nina can't help looking at him more.
She thinks this baby looks familiar! She thinks she has seen him!
Grandpa Gray looks at his great-grandson and tells his nanny, "feed this baby well. He is now more than two months old and looks like he was just born! He's growing too slowly! He's my only great-grandson. Take good care of him!"
The nanny says respectfully, "don't worry, the baby hasn't been fed well before, so he is very thin. I will feed him well and make him white and fat!"
After listening to the conversation between Grandpa Gray and the nanny, Nina's question disappears. It turns out that this is a boy over two months old. Her baby is a lovely daughter. If she is still alive, she is only one month old now.
Seeing Nina staring at the baby, Grandpa Gray says to the nanny, "let this lady hold him."
Nina's eyes widen in surprise. Really? How could Grandpa Gray agree to let her hold this baby?
Nina reaches out and takes baby from the nanny. The baby's black and bright eyes have been staring at her quietly. After a while, he grins at her! His eyes are as lovely as crescent moon!
Nina has a deep maternal love in her heart. This baby is related to her! She likes him! Although he is not her own baby, she feels very relieved when holding this baby. She feels very happy.
Maybe she misses her daughter too much.
A tear falls down Nina's pale face onto the baby's little face. The baby suddenly cries!
Grandpa Gray looks at Nina discontentedly, and the nanny takes baby away from Nina.
"Nina, where's your baby? I'll have Paul pick her up." Lucien glances at Nina's flat stomach and asks.
His words make Nina cry.
"My daughter died just after she was born." Nina's tears fall like broken beads. She cries a lot.
Grandpa Gray sympathizes with her, too. He gestures to Lucien to comfort her and he turns away.
Tears wet her long hair. Her hair sticks to her face. Her shoulder blades almost pierces the thin coat. There is despair and pain on her pale face.
Lucien goes over and puts Nina in his arms. He decides not to care about Nina's slap.
Lucien's embrace makes Nina's cold body suddenly shake. She wants to break free and pushes Lucien with her arm. But Lucien holds her tight. His warm chest comforts her and his strong body gives her a sense of security.
Nina gives up struggling and cries with Lucien in her arms.
She vents the long backlog of grief. She cries for a long time. Lucien holds her for a long time. He pats her on the shoulder with his big warm hand.
Nina is tired of crying. She doesn't have a good rest these days. She cries and falls asleep in Lucien's arms.
Lucien gently picks Nina up and walks upstairs to his bed.
Lucien has a slight obsession with cleanliness. He will not lie in bed without a bath, but he puts Nina in her coat gently on the bed.
Lucien frowns as he takes off Nina's shoes. What kind of life does she live? Why doesn't she buy a new one when her shoes are about to break?
Lucien looks at her cheap coat. He is even less happy.
Why does his woman look so embarrassed?
Nina is fast asleep. She hasn't had a good sleep for a long time.
Lucien sits by the bed and watches Nina's face. She is pale, emaciated and haggard. She is not childish as a girl. Nina is very mature and charming now.
Why is she so thin? His woman can't be so thin! Lucien gently outlines Nina's face with her fingers. He has to take her to buy some clothes tomorrow.
Nina is asleep. It is dark when she wakes up.
There is a small lamp on the head of the bed. The room is warm and fragrant. She hasn't enjoyed the comfort and peace of mind for a long time.
Nina is waking up. She remembers that she is in Gray Family now! She looks around quickly. She is the only one in the room. Lucien is not in the room.
No way! She's leaving! She has to get out of here! She doesn't want to be imprisoned by Lucien as a mistress!
She puts on her shoes and runs to the window. This is the second floor. But there is a water pipe by the window. She can climb down from it!
Nina climbs up the windowsill and is about to push the window open.
"Nina!" Nina is shocked by a roar. She falls off the windowsill!
Lucien's gloomy face is terrible. He keeps his sharp eyes on her.
"Well, it's a fine day. What do you think of it?" Nina looks at Lucien's face and screams in her heart. She has to try to change the subject.
"Nina! Don't play dumb!" Lucien pulls Nina off the floor and pushes her to bed.
"Nina, you can't run away!" Lucien says viciously, "your mistress contract has not been fulfilled!"
"Lucien! Don't dream! I have no family right now. You can't threaten me!" Nina stares at Lucien and retorts.
"OK! Nina! I'll show you now if I can threaten you!" Lucien smiles evil and approaches Nina.
