She thought that James Grayson was taking advantage of her weakness. She's just polite.
"I fell into danger because I helped you, didn't I?" Bella whispered.
"Oh." James Grayson gave a gentle laugh and said softly, "I won't force you. Take care of yourself."
Bella felt weird. He felt there was a concerned man on the phone which was different from what she felts when she met him first. "You too take care of yourself. I'm hanging up." Bella finished talking and hung up the phone.
Colonel Thomas Brown looked at Bella and did not speak. He dropped Bella back to the hospital. When he was on his way back to the military area he received a call from the chief.
"Did she go home?" James Grayson asked.
"No, she said to me to drop her at the hospital." Colonel Thomas Brown reported truthfully.
"Well, okay." James Grayson hung up his cell phone. It's better for her to go back to the hospital than to go home.
The second day - eight o'clock in the morning. Amelia William rushed to Bella's office.
"Bella, that bitch complaint about you. The hospital will punish you. I heard she asked you to be dismissed." Amelia William said worriedly.
"You mean the woman whom I operated that day?" Bella asked suspiciously.
"Yes. Why did you use the scissors when she didn't allow you? "Amelia William said.
"The umbilical cord was around the child's neck. If I didn't cut it the child, suffocate. I did what was right. Why the hospital punishes me." Bella was right.
"I heard that there were some people who put pressure on the management. I'll ask them later. Who can do this? What do you think, David Wilson? But he has no reason to do so." Amelia William said many sentences.
Bella's eyes flashed a wise light. "It must be him." She called David Wilson.
"Isn't it a little late to think of me?" David Wilson spoke with a strange voice.
"What the hell do you want to do?" Bella asked angrily.
"I warned you not to offend me. Now I give you an hour to come home. If you took more than an hour, you would be responsible for the consequences." David Wilson hung up the phone without giving any chance of speaking to her.
"What did he say?" Amelia William asked with concern.
"He asked me to come home. I'll ask the director for leave." Bella said helplessly.
"What's wrong with him? Let him die." Amelia William was angry.
"He is in the health bureau. The hospital will not offend him. I will see it. Things are needed to be resolved. I will contact you later." Bella picked up her stuff and left.
She came home. David Wilson was laying down on the sofa. He saw Bella coming in. He looked at his wristwatch. "Forty-eight minutes, very punctual. I like it."
He picked up a paper bag and threw it on the table. "I have a reward for you, see if you like it."
"David Wilson, what do you really want to do? You are already free. We cannot get along with each other. Once I change my decision of divorce, you will have to face endless troubles." Bella said something reasonable to him.
"When I feel bored, I'll leave. But I will ask for a divorce. You don't have the right." He arrogantly replied. Took out a jewelry box and hand it to her, "Put it on."
She stood still, looked in David Wilson's eyes and that jewelry box. David Wilson was a cruel hunter. What he liked the most was watching his prey struggle for freedom and enjoyed the fun of trapping and playing. The hunter was fierce, focused and wild. But the hunters weren't interested in just one prey.
Bella opened the box and glanced at a pair of earrings. She closed the box again and threw it on the table.
"Don't you like it?" David looked at her with a trace of glamour in his eyes.
"You know I don't like wearing these things. I can't wear them as a doctor, but I'll treasure them. Thank you." She said coldly.
He picked up the earrings, stood up, held her ear and forcefully put them in her ear. From the time she started her profession as a doctor. She never wore earrings. There was a sharp pain in her ear. She touched it and felt the damp blood in it. She stared at David Wilson anxiously. If there had been a trace of affection left for him, it would have been diminished.
David Wilson raised the corners of his mouth and there was no trace of laughter in his eyes. He did not have any pity for Bella. He put the other earing into her ear brutally. Bella clenched her fist and suppressed her anger.
"The villagers remain the villager. Gold, silver no matter what they wear they cannot get the style." David Wilson shows expressions of dissatisfaction.
"As long as you don't divorce. This dumb villager cannot stop annoying you." Bella replied in a cold tone.
David Wilson became unhappy. He took another bag from the sofa. "There's a pair of shoes in it. Change the clothes that are placed on the table. Don't make me feel embarrassed again. I'll wait for you in the car downstairs. Come there in ten minutes." He got up and went out.
Bella felt angry and helpless. She drew a tissue paper and wiped the bloodstains from her ears. She opened the gift bag and saw a pink skirt and red high heels. She took off the earrings and put them in the box and closed it. She took two gift bags and went out.
David Wilson's car was parked at the entrance. He was texting with a continuous smile on his face. That evil smile, Bella was too familiar with that. There must be another prey coming into his trap. Bella opens his car's door and threw the gift bag in.
"David Wilson. If you think I'm a disgrace, don't take me out." Bella shook the door heavily.
David Wilson's eyes grew tight. "You're challenging my patience."
"If you don't have patience, you don't need to see me. Why are you are becoming so cheap?" Bella said impertinently.
David Wilson's eyes flashed a murderous breath. He got out of the car, grabbed her hand brutally and threw her into the back seat. He sat next to her, looked ahead cold and ordered the driver, "Drive to the airport."
"I don't want to go to the airport. What kind of tricks are you playing?" Bella was worried.
David Wilson grabbed her chin and let her face him.
"It would be better if you behave yourself. Otherwise, maybe I changed my mind and do something even worse with you." David Wilson warned in a cold voice.
Bella looked in his cold eyes. David Wilson was a beast. She was absolutely confident that he would do anything. Bella lowered her eyes. David Wilson looked at her and released her hand.
Bella looked out of the window. She really didn't understand David Wilson. She actually knew that David Wilson did not love her, but why he was not giving divorce to her? He never did a bad business. What are his ideas?
David Wilson's cell phone rang.
"Mr. David Wilson, Governor Johnson will not come to the airport to receive. His wife, Mrs. Johnson will come." David Wilson's subordinate reported.
"Okay, everything is arranged well?" David Wilson raised his mouth and asked. His eyes were gloomy, confident and charming.
