Tanya met Mandeep in a coffee shop. All the tables were occupied so she asked if she couldshare the table with him. She saw straight away that he had little educated but he appeared to have a lotof money and paid for whatever she ordered.
He fascinated her for not only were his clothes clean but were probably new right off the shelf. That went for his shoes too. She wondered at the source of his wealth. Could he be a trickster of somesort? But he didn't have the suave charm of a confidence trickster, instead he seemed quite naive andingenuous.
"You will eat lunch with me tomorrow. "He raised his eyebrows at her."Are you asking me or telling me?"
"Eh, what I don't understand..."
"It's O.K. I'll meet you here for lunch tomorrow."
He grinned at her. He was, she decided, quite artless.
